Muslim Pro, the world’s biggest Muslim lifestyle and religious app, announces its support for UNICEF to raise emergency funds for the victims of the recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria. The earthquake has claimed the lives of over 34,000 people, including children, with thousands more injured.
In response to this tragedy, Muslim Pro is appealing to its global Muslim community to support UNICEF in providing crucial support for those affected by the disaster. The fundraiser will provide clean water, access to sanitation and hygiene services, child protection services such as reuniting separated and unaccompanied children with their families, and delivering essential health and nutrition services through mobile teams.
The fundraiser begins on 14 February 2023. Muslim Pro app users can donate to UNICEF via the in-app link at bit.ly/3E4W8Yh to support the organization’s emergency response and overall work to support humanitarian assistance.
Nik Emir Din, co-CEO of Muslim Pro, said: “The recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria has left a devastating impact on the lives of thousands of people, and it is our responsibility as members of the global community to support those in need. At Muslim Pro, we are proud to support UNICEF to raise emergency funds and provide crucial assistance to those affected by the disaster. I urge all of our users and the wider Muslim community to come together and make a difference by donating to this important cause, especially during this sacred Islamic month of Rajab where it is highly encouraged for us to increase our good deeds.”
Muslim Pro has raised over USD $294,000 for various causes since partnering with UNICEF. Notably, two standout campaigns include the successful global crowdfunding initiative in December 2021 that raised over USD $115,000 to support Afghanistan children’s emergency funds, and raising over USD $140,000 during Ramadan to combat malnutrition in children in countries such as Yemen and Syria.
